For children born with cleft conditions, access to safe surgery and comprehensive care can transform far more than a smile. It can improve their ability to eat, speak, learn, and participate confidently in their communities. Operation Smile delivers life-changing care around the world while training healthcare professionals and strengthening local medical systems so that more children and families can receive the care they deserve. Your interest and support can help bring hope, healing, and new possibilities to children across the globe.

BJ has been involved with Operation Smile in different capacities since 2005.

For survivors of domestic violence, finding safety can be the first step toward reclaiming their lives. Women in Distress provides critical services including a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, and resources that help survivors and their children move toward stability and independence. Supporting Women in Distress helps give families a safe place to begin again and an opportunity to build a future free from violence.

BJ has supported Women in Distress since 2000 in a variety of capacities. She previously served on its Board of Directors and as Chair of its Board of Trustees.

Hispanic Unity of Florida helps immigrants and other members of the community build stronger, more secure futures. Through education, employment and career development, entrepreneurship, financial guidance, citizenship assistance, family services, and other essential programs, the organization helps people become self-sufficient, productive, and civically engaged. Supporting Hispanic Unity means helping individuals and families gain the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities they need to pursue their American Dream.

BJ has supported Hispanic Unity of Florida since 2009.

GENVAS harnesses the power of music, visual art, theater, literature, film, education, and storytelling to preserve history, amplify diverse voices, and deepen cultural understanding. Its programs bring artists and audiences together while protecting the stories and creative traditions that shape the American experience. Supporting GENVAS helps ensure that meaningful artistic experiences, important histories, and extraordinary voices continue to educate, inspire, and connect future generations.
